The Ace Hotel in Portland is full of surprises.
I found the lyrics to Suzanne, by Leonard Cohen, tucked away in a very dark corner of the second floor lobby.

i am not moving out west to “make it big.” i am not trying to “find myself.” i am not looking for any answers and i’m not running away from anyone or anything. i simply want to see as much and learn as much and change as much as i can, while i still can. i have no strings attached right now. i don’t have a “real” job, i don’t go to college, i’m not in a relationship, i’m still chronologically young, and my family doesnt need me. sure, i’m broke, but i’m used to that. i’ve never had a lot of money before so i’m used to living on little amounts of money. i’m ready to fail miserably, i know i can pick myself back up and learn from it. there are so many people to meet, so many things to see and so much to learn, i want to document it all, i don’t care how ugly or how beautiful it gets.
exciting though. i’m heading north..sorta similar
